Welcome to the Central Coast Mobile Fab Lab
In 2019, Chevron partnered with the Fab Foundation and provided funding to bring the Central Coast Mobile Fab Lab to Monterey County, hosted by the Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE). MCOE partners with Hartnell Community College and California State University Monterey Bay to align programs and services and better serve Monterey County youth.

Chevron has partnered with the Fab Foundation since 2014, launching fab labs and mobile fab labs across the United States to support STEM education. Chevron’s support of Fab Labs, with their suite of digital fabrication tools and prototyping machines, foster innovation, learning and invention and are inspiring young people across the United States, to learn about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

The Central Coast Mobile Fab Lab is fully equipped with the tools and software needed to support immersive STEM learning experiences. Students engage in learning and play through project-based, digital design and fabrication processes that celebrate creativity and problem-solving. The Mobile Fab Lab has the capacity to bring industry grade equipment and learning expertise to any location and inspire children and adults to invent and innovate in any environment.
The Fab Lab provides access to hands-on and inquiry-driven experiences specially designed for middle school students across our county!
